Lynette has been a solicitor since 2004 that time she has been practising in Perth on Western Australia.  She formed her firm, Ideal Legal Services in 2011.

She has overseen literally thousands of conveyancing transactions and countless wills along with estate planning advice.

In Family Law Lynette has worked on Children’s matters involving relocation including relocation to overseas countries; matters involving kidnapping including to non-Hague convention countries.  Her work ranges from property matters with a modest asset pool to multi-million dollar asset pools, including family trusts, overseas assets, farming properties that have been in one party’s family for generations.

The scale and breadth of her Family Law works extends from straight forward divorces; child support agreements; financial agreements and reaching agreements through negotiations, mediation, collaborative meetings and also through the Court process. She has experience in reaching deals with married relationships, de facto relationships and same-sex relationships.

She has been passionate about keeping up with developments in the law and also the methods of best representing her clients throughout her career. In 2017 she became a member of the Family Law Practitioners’ Association of Western Australia.

Lynette is one of a small number of legal practitioners in Western Australia entitled to claim specialist accreditation in Family Law. This means she has completed the rigorous process of assessment by the Law Society to earn this qualification and continues to attend the additional compulsory seminars each year to maintain her expertise.

An accredited specialist is different from practitioners who say they “specialise”, which is a self-assessment.

Lynette completed a LLB through the Murdoch University in 2005.

In addition to family law Lynette’s other areas of practice revolve around other matters of concern for families, namely, wills, powers of attorney, enduring guardians, estate planning, dispute and resolution, property and business settlement, the administration of deceased estates and acting in disputed estates.

Lynette is a member of the Law Society of Western Australia, Public Notaries Society of Western Australia Inc. and The Western Australia Chinese Chamber of Commerce, where she is also a council member. In 2013, she was appointed by the Supreme Court of Western Australia as a Notary Public and became the first female Asian Notary Public in Western Australia. Currently, she is the only female Asian Notary Public in Western Australia.

Lynette is a self-disciplined and motivated multilingual lawyer who uses her language skills in Mandarin and English to communicate and listen to the needs of customers to help them find legal solutions. She is passionate about serving her clients knowledgeably and compassionately.
